Sadaqah Jariyah is a form of charity that goes beyond immediate relief, that is known today as “sustainable development”.
- High Population: The region spans 6,000 sqm2, housing a dense population of about 4.5 million.
- Displacement: Since February 2023, over 103,000 individuals have been displaced internally.
- Dire Living Conditions: 1.9 million residents face grim conditions in camps, lacking essential services.
- Insufficient Safe Housing: Post-earthquake, over 10,600 structures crumbled, leading thousands to seek shelter in tents or remain homeless.
- High Population of Children: 58% of the region’s populace are children. Many face psychological and health issues, and a notable portion are orphaned or self-sustaining workers.
- Limited Access to Education: A staggering 750,000+ children forgo education, working to aid their families.
