Rebuilding Life : Rehabilitating Homes for Returning Families
When the war ends, a new journey of return begins.

After years of displacement, thousands of families still live in temporary shelters—longing for a dignified return home.
This campaign seeks to restore what was lost: stability, dignity, and life itself.

The Need on the Ground

A vast number of families remained homeless due to destruction and deteriorating infrastructure in their houses.
Plus, with families returning, thousands of children find schools empty, damaged, or unsafe.

In partnership with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, our teams are working to identify priority homes and schools for rehabilitation, with a particular focus on vulnerable families and internally displaced persons eager to return to their communities.

Goal: Restore 1000 homes
Because hope begins with a home.
Our Response

The campaign focuses on the rehabilitation of homes for displaced families in selected areas, as well as schools serving the children of these families. Each rehabilitated housing unit provides safe and dignified shelter for families of 5 to 8 members, while each renovated school accommodates 500 to 800 students. The rehabilitation works include the following:

Restoration work includes:
  • Light structural repairs: walls, ceilings, windows, and doors

  • Rehabilitation of basic WASH facilities: bathrooms, kitchens, and water connections

  • Electrical rewiring and essential finishes: flooring, plastering, and painting

Duration per home: 2 to 3 Weeks

Because the first step toward stability and rebuilding a nation is the return of its people.

Our Partnerships

This campaign is implemented in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs, and builds upon the extensive field experience of our teams who have led previous reconstruction projects, including:

  • Aldar Waqf City — a sustainable residential complex for orphans and widowed mothers
  • Post-earthquake home restoration projects
  • For our environment project, one of the largest and most important development projects to extend a 15 km sewer line to serve 265.000 Beneficiaries in the community

Every initiative has reaffirmed one truth: sustainability begins with shelter through
